David Icke vs. Richard Warman

One of the most prominate and asked-about samples on my Kikapu Netlabel EP (and LP) is found at the end of "We're taking over the world Richard". Here's the interesting story about it:

The sample is a message I got on my answering machine a few years ago. The caller says "This is a message, um, to Richard Warman from one of David Icke's nutty followers. We're taking over the world Richard, we're taking over, and there's fuck all you can do about it. We are right."At the time of recieving this message I had no idea of who David Icke was, nor how to spell his name so had no luck in google. But googling "Richard Warman" brings a whole bunch of links, lots of which include David Icke references.

It turns out that David Icke is a fairly well known, wacky conspiracy theorist from Britian, who believes, amoung other things, that there is an elite group of people who control the world, including the Queen Mother, George Bush, Hilary Clinton, Tony Blair, etc. who are either themselves reptilian, or work for the reptiles as mind controlled slaves. Where these wild, out-there claims become controversial is that he linked many of these reptiles through a jewish family, the Rothchilds, and the antisemtic nature of his ideas were latched onto by some far right "hate" groups.

Enter Richard Warman, an Ottawa based human rights lawyer who battles neo-nazis, far-right groups, "free speech" groups and David Icke about the publication of hate literature (both printed and online). David Icke and others have launched an online and written war against Richard Warman, and it's therefore difficult to find much pro-Warman information... but here's a more favourable article written about Warman in the Ottawa Sun. Most other google links to Warman are like this, and this, and this, and this ...

I guess since Warman is in downtown Ottawa, as I am, the person who left the message got the right area code, but wrong number. As the Ottawa Sun article mentions, Warman gets tons of phone threats.

And as an interesting twist, a friend of mine who knows of David Icke recently told me that the voice in the message sounds a lot like David Icke himself.... maybe it is?

TO YOUR OWN AMUSEMENT YOU MAY RIDICUE ANYONE YOU LIKE. BUT AS FOR PUBLIC RITES OF RIDICULE, ARE YOU WILLING TO ACCEPT THAT AS A WHOLESALE FORM OF COMMUNICATION THAT YOU WELCOME ON ALL FRONTS. RICHARD WARMAN DID COMMIT A CRIME BY DIRECTLY SOLICITING THE ASSAULT OF ICKE THROUGH DIRECT INFLUENCE AND ACTION. WARMAN( what is his name again...war...man) IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE POTENTIAL INJURY RESULTING FROM THROWING OBJECTS AT THE MAN, AND FOR DESTROYING PRIVATE PROPERTY (most specifically the books in the childrens section of the bookstore his cronies invaded and defaced). FREE SPEECH IS FREE SPEECH. THIS IS BROKEN IDEALISM IN ITS MOST ACCEPTED FORM; I'M FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND I'M HERE TO HELP YOU.

David Icke is one of the modern world's biggest freaks. I have corresponded with him extensively via email, and when I called him a mind poisoner and exploiter of the mentally ill, he said he'd have me charged with "mental rape" (he really has a THING about rape as you'll know when you read his lunatic rants).

But let's not make the mistake of thinking he is *just* an entertaining crank - he is causing for overthrow of the system - in other words, mass murder and anarchy, and vulnerable nutjobs everywhere are reading this stuff. Potential Timothy McVeighs could easily see a call to action in every world this scumball writes; after all, McVeigh and Icke share exactly the same worldview. I for one would be enormously relieved to see him committed to a maximum security mental institute, his followers likewise. Since he lives in a country where they're clearly slack about this kind of thing, ridicule will have to do for now I guess. Speaking of ridicule: funny isn't it BTW how no matter what he says about the "reptiles" - they keep letting him say it with no consequences at all? :D

The Guy is a product of this society.. he used to say he was the son of god.. when that schtick didnt stick, he saw reptiles, now its the illuminati.. its all in third hand book stores and now on the net.

There are lots of people buying and peddling this nonsense.

You might ask why? well I am the antiChrist and i am about to go on am inter-national tour. I might even get time for a cuppa with David to fill his head with ideas for a new book.

See you all.. VERY soon

To me Icke is just some eccentric.
Much like L Ron Hubbard.

However Warman on the other hand is truly one Evil person. I watched the Video
Secret Rulers Of The World - David Icke.avi

Which contains the full Vancouver encounter of both men.

Warman while professing to champion human rights uses tactics that are indicative of Fascists.

Icke on the other Hand just continues on his merry way talking about what kind of a society we have. Leave out his belief in the lizard race and his is very accurate in what is going on. (MY OPINION. Icke won't agree with me on this but he will agree i can say it. Warman the champion of Human rights won't agree to even let me express anything contrary to what he believes)

And that is where the problem lies the HYPOCRICY.

Who is the more dangerous person here?
A man that goes around talking about things I don't agree with?

Or the Man that doesn't agree with what is being said and even resorts to Criminal Acts to silence that person?

You decide.

As for Warman were it not for David Icke it would be Richard Warman who? Because the only thing of any note he has done is to debase himself and his profession over David Icke.

You guys are seriously fucked people !! You are soon rid of you`re rights and you are not fighting it you are welcoming it with both hands outstretched. Warman is a agent assigned to discredit anyone who thinks at all apparently . That don`t apply to You people ! That should be pretty obvious

Yeah, calling people '' conspiracy theorists'' as a form of insult is a little ignorant don't you think? Many ''conspiracy theories'' have been proved correct over the years. Any theory is only a theory until proved fact.
